10-21-21 THOUGHTS

There is both CONFIDENCE and PERIL in the passage areas below.  To the SHRINKER BACKER- FALLER AWAYER, there is great eternal danger.  The one who sees God’s solution for salvation in Christ Jesus, and then chooses to CRUCIFY HIM AFRESH and PUT HIM TO OPEN SHAME, there is no other option.  CHRIST, ONE SACRIFICE FOR ALL TIME, THE ONLY OPTION!  We are of those WHO HAVE FAITH TO THE PRESERVING OF THE SOUL!   We will not be SLUGGISH!  We will show DILIGENCE!

Heb 10:32-39     But remember the former days, when, after being enlightened, you endured a great conflict of sufferings, 33  partly by being made a public spectacle through reproaches and tribulations, and partly by becoming sharers with those who were so treated.  34  For you showed sympathy to the prisoners and accepted joyfully the seizure of your property, knowing that you have for yourselves a better possession and a lasting one. 35  Therefore, do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward.  36  For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised. 37  FOR YET IN A VERY LITTLE WHILE, HE WHO IS COMING WILL COME, AND WILL NOT DELAY. 38  BUT MY RIGHTEOUS ONE SHALL LIVE BY FAITH; AND IF HE SHRINKS BACK, MY SOUL HAS NO PLEASURE IN HIM. 39  But we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the preserving of the soul.
Heb 6:4-12    For in the case of those who have once been enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit,  5  and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6  and then have fallen away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance, since they again crucify to themselves the Son of God and put Him to open shame. 7  For ground that drinks the rain which often falls on it and brings forth vegetation useful to those for whose sake it is also tilled, receives a blessing from God;  8  but if it yields thorns and thistles, it is worthless and close to being cursed, and it ends up being burned. 9   But, beloved, we are convinced of better things concerning you, and things that accompany salvation, though we are speaking in this way. 10  For God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love which you have shown toward His name, in having ministered and in still ministering to the saints. 11  And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence so as to realize the full assurance of hope until the end, 12  so that you will not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

My Prayer:
You O God, have given us life in Christ Jesus.  Please sustain our faith until the end.  Help us to be diligent in our pursuit of the eternal, and in our seeking the first things.  Thank you for light in this world.  Aid us as we strive to walk in the light and in the Spirit.
